Man threatens to shoot ex-girlfriend

LaGrange police officers are searching for a man who allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and harm their four-year-old daughter.

The man reportedly posted violent messages to the woman on Facebook and sent them by text to her phone, the report stated.

The former boyfriend then sent a threatening text to the victim, while a LPD officer was in her home, according to the report. The text had a picture of the man holding a gun with the message, “Bullet with your name on it,” the report read.

A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. He was charged with terroristic threats under the Family Violence Act.

Thefts

*A man reported a UPS package containing a new IPhone 6S was stolen off the porch to his home in the 100 block of Gallant Street.

The homeowner told LaGrange police he tracked the package and saw it was delivered at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. But when the man looked outside an hour later, the box was gone.

The estimated value of the phone was $900.

*A woman told LaGrange Police someone stole $250 out of her purse after she left work Monday night.

The victim said her purse was in the backseat of her car. She allegedly drove a friend to Riverdale later that night, the report stated.

The woman’s friend reportedly sat next to her purse in the backseat. But the victim told officers she does not remember here she dropped him off, according to the report.
