A woman awakened Monday morning to find that her house had been shot into, according to a LaGrange police report.

The report said that the woman, whom lives in the 100 block of Commerce Court, had heard what sounded like a gunshot at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday night just before going to bed, but did not know her home had been the target until the next morning.

At about 9 a.m. Monday she discovered a hole in the front door of her residence and a broken wooden end table that was in line with the front door.

Officers observed a hole in the fabric of the sofa and inside the liner, a lead bullet was found.

Damage to the property is estimated to be about $300. No one was injured.

Neighbors claimed to not have heard gunshots around the time of the incident, but the victim noted that before going to bed, she observed several male subjects and a red vehicle in the parking lot and believes that they were visiting a neighbor in the area.
