Staff report

September 12, 2013

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at West Point Lake is repairing potholes and cracked pavement in several of the popular parks around the reservoir, and this may impact public use in those areas.

The following campgrounds and boat ramp areas will be affected: Georgia Park, Rocky Point Park, Earl Cook Park, Dewberry Park, Anderson Park, Yellowjacket Park, R. Shaefer Heard Campground, Whitetail Ridge Campground and Holiday Campground.

Some of the parks listed above may be temporarily closed while the work is underway, but these closures will be kept to a minimum. The work will continue during the month of September and should conclude by the end of the month.
