Little Miss Krimson and Kreme pageant set for Saturday

The LaGrange Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi will sponsor its Little Miss Krimson and Kreme Pageant on Saturday at 7 p.m at Lafayette Christian Academy.


Young ladies from Troup and surrounding counties will make presentations for several categories, including talent and modeling. Local youth and teen organizations, including McKayla Owens, Confidence Baptist Church Praise Dancers and the Jackson Angels of Faith Temple will provide additional entertainment.


The event is free and open to the public.


The contestants are:


•SaMeia Davidson, daughter of Yolanda Jones. She is a third grader at Fairfax Elementary School in Valley, Ala. SaMeia enjoys playing tennis and dancing, and is a member of the Praise Dance Team at New Life Ministries. SaMeia hopes to become a doctor.


•Nikayla Welch, daughter of Danita Welch and the late Nichael Welch. She is a fifth grader at Franklin Forest Elementary School where she is a member of the Chorus and Art Club. Nikayla enjoys playing basketball, singing and dancing. She attends Eastside Baptist Church.


•Ariana Mikayla Clinton, daughter of Greta Woodyard and Robert Clinton. She is a sixth grader at Long Cane Middle School. Ariana enjoys playing golf, singing, reading, dancing and baking desserts. She is an active member at Mountain Springs Baptist Church and plans to major in education.


•Jakayla Cameron, daughter of LaShondra and Michael Cameron. She is a third grader at Glanton Elemtnary School in Grantville. Jakayla enjoys reading and singing, and is a member at Springfield Baptist Church. She hopes to become a teacher.
