The Georgia State Patrol says a LaGrange man was flown to a hospital in Columbus early Sunday morning after a crash on Highway 29.
According to a LaGrange Georgia State Patrol representative, Frank Thomason, 53, of Avery Lane, was traveling northbound on Highway 29 at about 2:50 a.m. Sunday. Thomason was negotiating a curve when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a utility pole and phone box off the roadway. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to rotate before striking a tree.
State patrol reports state that Thomason was flown to Columbus Medical Center, however, upon contacting them for an update on his condition, they reported that they had no record of him in the system. An Atlanta Medical Center representative reported no records of Thomason as well.
