With senior Chase Wardlaw leading the way, the LaGrange Academy basketball team edged Harvester Christian 54-50 Tuesday night.
Wardlaw finished with 32 points, and he is off to a fast start for the 2-1 Warriors.
“He not only is our best scorer right now, but he’s really unselfish,” LaGrange Academy coach Britt Gaylor said. “He looks to involve everybody. But our team knows he’s got to score. It’s nice to see him putting up these numbers we know he’s been capable of.”
Daniel Wardlaw added 13 points, and Gaylor said Zack Alsop and Jamie Zubernis “played great defensively for us.”
Gaylor called it “an all-around team win. They made plays down the stretch that helped us seal the victory.”
