Police arrested Lyndon Johnson, 50, of LaGrange Friday morning on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault. Johnson called police and turned himself in. He was arrested in the 500 block of Horace King Street where the crime occurred.

Police responded to Horace King Street Thursday where they met with James Cameron, 75, who was bleeding from head.

According to the report, Cameron said his neighbor, Johnson, came to his home, and allegedly assaulted him and stole his wallet. Cameron was taken to West Georgia Health Systems for treatment. According to police officials, Cameron sustained several lacerations to the head, neck and chin.

Yesterday, police posted on Facebook looking for tips on Johnson’s whereabouts saying he could be in the Horace King Street area or Hill Street.
