Former Twin Cedars employee Courtney Gates, 33, of LaGrange pleaded guilty Monday in Superior Court to three counts of aggravated child molestation, two counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual assault by a law enforcement agency employee.

Gates was sentenced to 25 years, with 18 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation.

Gates was a group leader at Twin Cedars East Depot Street campus when she molested and performed sexual acts on two boys under the age of 16 who were residents at the campus and under her supervision between January and September 2012.

After detectives with the LaGrange Police Department received a referral from the Department of Family and Children Services, Gates was arrested in April of 2013.

She was indicted on multiple counts by the Grand Jury in February.
