Troup County Sheriff Investigators and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms have arrested David R. Loftin, 64, of LaGrange on a variety of federal firearm charges.

According to federal agents, Loftin allegedly transferred numerous firearms across state lines and sold them to convicted felons.

Investigators and agents seized more than 100 firearms and ammunition from Loftin’s residence Wednesday, according to reports.

Loftin was transported to the United States Attorney’s Office in Montgomery and received a bond from the Federal District Court in the Middle District of Montgomery, according to the Montgomery U.S Attorney Office Public Information Officer Clark Morris.
