Thefts/ Burglaries

• A North Greenwood Street woman suspects her daughter of stealing her credit card and charging over $700 to the card; she has not been able to reach her daughter, she reported.

• A man in the 1000 block of Borton Street suspects his nephew of stealing his .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol valued at $1,200 from his residence.

• A Mitsubishi TV valued at $1,200 and a Dell laptop valued at $200 was reported stolen from a burglarized home in the 1200 block of Troup Street. Police noted that a rear door of the residence had been kicked in.

• A woman reported identity fraud when she found that an unknown Verizon Wireless account had been opened in her name. She also found that someone used her social security number to apply for a job at the University of Georgia. She told police she lost her wallet containing her social security card and other important documents about a month ago, but had not filed a report.
