Three members of Boy Scouts of America Troop 3 ranked up as Life Scouts in a recent Court of Honor ceremony at the Scout House in the Rosemont Community.

The ceremony capped a week of summer camp during which the scouts traveled to Pensacola, Florida, where they watched the Blue Angels air show. The remainder of the week was spent earning merit badges in scouting heritage, leatherwork, farm mechanics, animal science, fish and wildlife management, chess, motor boating, horsemanship, journalism and crime prevention.

The three scouts are one rank away from earning their Eagle Scout rank, according to Troop 3 Scoutmaster Mark Webb. Life Scouts are Troup High sophomore Levi Rice and Long Cane Middle School eighth graders Eli Thrailkill and Pearson Strickland.
