The Tigers posted a team score of 178, which was two shots clear of the Grangers (180).
Troup also won the girls’ match 122-133.
In the boys’ match, Matt Morton and Ben McCrary each carded a 43 for Troup, Robert Jennings shot a 44, and Jacob Wood posted a 48 to round out the team’s scoring.
Also for Troup, Nick Morton shot a 53, and Parker Pearson had a 56.
For LaGrange, Trip Warren led the way with a 41, and he was the low medalist.
Devin Bray was next with a 45, Lucas Blanton shot a 46, and Justin Gordon and Press Thornton each shot a 48.
Ryan Watts added a 49 for LaGrange.
On the girls’ side, Hannah Easterwood paced Troup with a 62, Libby Wheeler shot a 60, Abby Taylor posted a 63 and Katelyn Thomas shot a 64.
For LaGrange, Kyle Cofield led the way with a 66, and Abby Arrington shot a 67.
Troup will host the inaugural Lady Tiger Par 3 shootout today at the First Tee of LaGrange.
Eleven teams will be playing in the tournament.
TENNIS: The LaGrange High tennis teams took care of Troup on Tuesday at McCluskey Tennis Center, with both teams winning by 5-0 scores.
In the girls’ match, Katie Graham beat Kara Conner 6-2, 6-2 at number one singles, Julia Shirley handled Anna Beth Aldridge 6-2, 6-2 at number two singles, and Jia Lee won by forfeit at number three singles.
At number one doubles, Mary Margaret Rogers and Euna Oh beat Chelsie Jarman and Emily Webb 6-0, 6-1, and Abby Brock and Katie Bryant got past Serah Hart and Abby Edmondson 6-4, 6-3 at number two doubles.
On the boys’ side, Connor Mahan topped Alex Munoz 6-0, 6-0 in the number one singles match, P.J. Alford beat Joel Lewallen 6-4, 6-1 at number two singles, and Clay Dodson won the number three singles match by forfeit.
At number two doubles, Franco Feria and Jas Singh beat Trevor Cottle and Daniel Ashley 6-0, 6-1, and Canon Skinner and J.J. Lee handled Peyton Rutland and Jessie Brown 6-1, 6-0.
The Lady Grangers improved to 10-2, and the Grangers moved to 10-3.
