A Troup County grand jury has indicted five suspects on murder and kidnapping charges in the Jan. 2 slaying of Dwight Louder, 26, of Greenville.

The indictments were issued against Sade Catori Davidson, 24, of Shoemaker Road; Toray Dontez Porter, 23, of LaGrange; Kelly Lavar Stephens, 32, of West Point; Arthur Demartino Barrett, 22, of West Point; and Daniel Lee Allen, 31, who has lived in Troup County. Only Allen has yet to be arrested.

Prosecutors said Louder was kidnapped during an alleged drug transaction on Simmons Street in LaGrange and shot eight times. His body was found in the back seat of his car on Smokey Road the next morning, his hands tied behind his back.

The grand jury returned a total of 23 indictments in Friday’s special session.

A 35-year-old LaGrange woman was indicted on charges of female genital mutilation and second-degree cruelty to children.

The suspect allegedly permitted her 10-month-old daughter’s clitoris to be cut out at some point between her birth in April and Feb. 20, causing “excessive physical pain.”

LaGrange Daily News is not identifying her to protect the child.

William Alect “Lex” Abernathy III, 39, of LaGrange was indicted on four counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation for allegedly having oral sex with a girl younger than 16.

Randall Kevin Brown, 39, of Opelika, Ala., was indicted on one count of aggravated child molestation for alleged having oral sex with the same girl.

Brandon Thomas Hart, 21, of LaGrange was indicted on charges of possession of an explosive device, discharge of a gun near a street and reckless conduct.

Hart allegedly fired a gun within 50 yards of Polk Street and police found a homemade pipe bomb in a barn beside his residence.

Alicia Yvonne Broadnax, 18, and Renaldo Ahmad Prather, 27, both of LaGrange, were indicted on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

They allegedly pointed a gun at a Georgia Avenue woman on Nov. 2 and beat her about the head and face with the weapon. She was robbed of money and a necklace.

Prather also was indicted on burglary and weapons charges, and Broadnax was indicted for robbery by sudden snatching for the necklace theft.

In another court case, Jimmy Lee Costley Jr., 30, of LaGrange was sentenced to two years in prison and three years’ probation after he pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and public drunkeness.

I am so glad the five was indicted. Sade you have lied for your own good. You need to take the plea and get about 30 years compared to 100 years to serve. Now you will have the chance to be with all the women you want!!! YEAH!!!
