Ms. Lori Lassetter announces the engagement of her daughter, Lindsay Lorraine Lassetter, to David Paul Higgins, son of Jeffrey and Mary Higgins of LaGrange.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Lori Lassetter and the late Mr. Jimmy Lassetter of Newnan, and the granddaughter of Buren and Jacqueline Lassetter of Newnan, and James and Bernice Griffieth of LaGrange, and David and Linda Rushing of Newnan.

She is a 2012 graduate of Newnan High School and will be graduating from Georgia Southern University in December 2016.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Darlene Higgins and the late Mr. Glenn Higgins of Newnan, and Jene and Melinda Cook of Clearwater, Florida.

He is a 2012 graduate of Northgate High School and 2015 graduate of Georgia Southern University. David is working for his family business, Higgins Hillcrest and Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral homes. In December 2017, he will also have a degree from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science.

The wedding will be an event of May 13, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, Georgia.
