Events: Jefferson Street Market featuring local wares and produce is 9:30 a.m. to noon at 625 Jefferson St.

The Active Life wellness center, 140 Ragland St., hosts dancing 7–10 p.m. with Jimmy Smith and New River Band. Cost is $5 per person. Adults of all ages welcome.

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Churches: Mount Zion Baptist Church, 420 E. Mount Zion Road, hosts its annual Easter service at 1 p.m. Anyone who needs a ride to the service may call 706-443-6470.

Trinity SDA Church Prayer and Bible Study Center at 710 Jenkins St. holds a free Bible study from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Pastor Walter Gordon, 706-812-0760

Thankful Baptist Church 1195 Cannonville Road Voices of Inspiration Choir hosts its first pre-anniversary at 6 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based recovery program, meets at 3 p.m. at Hogansville First Baptist Church.

Churches: Leete Hill United Methodist Church, 810 Hamilton Road in LaGrange, observes its annual Men’s Day celebration at 11 a.m. Guest speaker and church are the Rev. Gary Johnson and Roe’s Chapel UMC. Dinner served.

The Mountain Springs Baptist Church on Ga. Route 18 in West Point celebrates Men’s Day at 11 a.m. Guest speaker is pastor W. G. Perkins from Faith Believers Ministry.

Sardis Baptist Church will celebrate the 11th Pastoral Anniversary of the Rev. Walter Dowell Jr. and first lady Veronica Dowell with two services. At the 11 a.m. service Efram Jennings will bring the word; at the 3 p.m. service the Rev. Fred Stanley will bring the word.

Smith Chapel UMC, 6225 Hopewell Road in Pine Mountain, celebrates its annual Women’s Day program at 2 p.m. Pastor Renee Clark will bring the message. All Women are asked to wear white and purple.

Word Harvest Ministries Inc., 2478 Roanoke Road celebrates its eight Ushers’ Anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker is pastor Ira Tigner of Mount Airy UMC.

Solomon Grove Missionary Baptist Church’s Usher Board will observe its 79th Ushers’ Anniversary at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert Brock, associate pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church of Lanett, Ala., will be guest speaker.

Living By Faith Worship Center, 2451 West Point Road, will celebrate the 13th pastoral anniversary of Bishop Donald F. Lancaster at 3 p.m. The guest speaker is Pastor Clinton McFarland of Grace Baptist Church, Atlanta.

Callaway Baptist Church hosts discipleship training, youth and children’s classes at 5 p.m.

Uplifting Your Faith Ministries, 104 Youngs Mill Road, hosts spiritual counseling/healing at 5 p.m. with Bishop R.L. Darden.

Events: A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 1 p.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.

Meetings: The West Georgia Health Board of Trustees meets 5:15 p.m. in the Board Room of West Georgia Medical Center.

The Troup County Democratic Party committee meets 6 p.m. at the Williams J. Griggs Center, 716 Glenn Robertson Drive in LaGrange.

Exhibits

LaGrange Art Museum’s First LaGrange Southeast Regional juried exhibition is underway and will be on display through April 2. The show features work by only Southeastern artists. LaGrange Art Museum is located at 112 Lafayette Parkway and is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reach the museum at 706-882-3267.

Legacy Museum on Main, 136 Main St. in LaGrange, hosts the exhibit Lifting More Voices: Early Troup County Black History through Sept. 16. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and usually the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To check Saturday openings or schedule a group visit, call 706-884-1828.
