Events: Market on Main is 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Carmike Cinemas LaGrange 10 parking lot at Main and East Depot streets featuring local produce, food and crafts.

Jefferson Street Market featuring local wares and produce is 9:30 a.m. to noon at 625 Jefferson St.

Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The Active Life wellness center, 140 Ragland St., hosts dancing 7–10 p.m. with Jimmy Smith and New River Band. Cost is $5 per person. Adults of all ages welcome.

Rocky Mount Baptist Church observes its annual homecoming at 2 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. J.C. Strickland and Mount Zion and New Macedonia Baptist churches as guests.

Canaan Baptist Church, 5930 Mooty Bridge Road, hosts homecoming at 2 p.m. with guest pastor the Rev. James Woods and Leete Hill United Methodist Church.

Elders’ Ministry of Living By Faith Worship Center, 2451 West Point Road, celebrates its Annual Elders’ Day at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker is pastor Michael Stiggers and Eastside Baptist Church.

Mount Beulah Baptist Church, 250 Gordon Road, hosts its Youth Usher Anniversary at 2 p.m. Quay Boddie is guest speaker. Santron Harrell will emcee.

Monday

Events: A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 1 p.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.

The LaGrange Memorial Library, 115 Alford St., hosts two free classes introducing Excel to learn about basic operations and tools at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 and Aug. 29.
