WEST POINT — New Horizon Community Theatre will kick off its 2015-2016 season with “The Music Man Jr.” running Sept. 10 to 12.

“The Music Man, Jr.” features songs like “Ya Got Trouble,” “76 Trombones” and “Goodnight My Someone.” The play tells the story of charismatic con man, Harold Hill, who turns a stuffy little town in Iowa upside down.

More than 40 of the theater’s younger players from LaGrange to Auburn, Alabama, will perform in the toe-tapping, heart-warming musical comedy. The show stars newcomer Jackson Landreau of Phenix City, Alabama, as Harold Hill and Kitty Key of LaGrange as Marian Paroo.

“I love this show because not only does it introduce kids to a classic American musical, but it also shows them how just one person can change an entire town for good,” says director Noelle Reed.
