Concert to benefit local veterans

Defending America’s Defenders hosts its annual Cabin Fever R3vival fundraiser to help local veterans 5–11 p.m. Feb. 27 at Pine Mountain Resort on Hamilton Road. Drinks and raffle items available along with an auction. Bands slated to perform include Eley Road Band, 7even Zero 6ixx and Barstool Prophets. There will be campsites, cabins and yurts available at a 20 percent discount. All proceeds go to help veterans in need.

Ride for Gracie

A ride to benefit Gracie, an 8 year old with liver cancer, is set for noon on March 5 in the Diverse Power parking lot, 1400 S. Davis Road. It is open to motorcycles, Jeeps and trucks. Registration begins at 11 a.m. Donation to ride is $25 and also covers one passenger. The fee also buys two food plates, and additional plates are $5. Children’s activities and band performances are set at 56 Long Cane Access Road, where the ride ends. Raffle and auctions also will be on tap for items including a YETI cooler. Barbecue to benefit Bellevue

The LaGrange Woman’s Club BBQ is 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. March 16 at the Bellevue parking lot, 204 Ben Hill St. Tickets are $10. Dessert will be included. LaGrange Woman’s Club members will be selling tickets. Anyone interested may contact Judy Bledsoe at 706-882-7611 for more information. All proceeds go for the preservation of Bellevue.

Rotary Club hosts golf benefit tournament

The LaGrange Rotary Club’s annual Youth Challenge Golf Tournament is set for April 21 at the Highland Country Club. Registration for the four-person scramble is open. Registration for a team is $400. Checks should be made payable to Rotary Youth Challenge Program. Lions Club golf tournament to benefit Salvation Army

The LaGrange Lions Club hosts a golf tournament April 28 at Highland Country Club. Registration for four-person teams begins at noon with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals, and a silent auction will be held. Costs to be a team sponsor is $400 or $100 per individual; team and hole sponsors, $500; hole sponsor, $150; scoreboard sponsor, $75. The club is also seeking donations for prizes in the auction.
