LaGRANGE — The elementary schools in Troup County will soon receive a donation from the Elms and Roses Garden Club Council of LaGrange.

Donations will include “The Frightened Frog, An Environmental Tale” and the “Ecology Warrior” resource booklet.

This program is one of the 2015-2017 National Garden Clubs President’s Service in Action Projects. The project’s goal is to create awareness of the issues challenging amphibians and pollinator species survival.

“The Frightened Frog, An Environmental Tale” includes frog facts, a story describing the challenges of being a frog, and ways children can “Leap into Action” to help protect, preserve and support frog and amphibian habitats in their back yards.
