Pappa Grasso's Italian Bistro
Located on Hogansville’s historic Main Street, Pappa Grasso’s Italian Bistro offers wonderful Italian food for lunch and dinner along with superb, gourmet signature dishes. New York style pizza, calzone and delicious pasta vie with specialty salads, scaloppini, earthy soups and fresh seafood on the inventive menu. A solid selection of beer and wine is sold. Culinary Institute of America trained Chef Sammy Deusch brings nearly 30 years of fine restaurant cooking to Pappa Grasso’s. He also brings the name.
Chef Salvador Grasso, Sam’s grandfather, was widely renowned for the food he created at La Grotta Restaurant in Long Branch, New Jersey. The food was so good that La Grotta was the unanimous choice as a common meeting place for both the New York and Jersey branches of some well known Italian benevolent societies. Pappa Grasso started teaching him the mysteries of great Italian cooking when Sam was only 7. He also gave Sam the most important ingredient a chef can have --a passion for excellence. It's that passion that makes this, Salvatore's namesake restaurant, an authentic family and Italian tradition.
Sam’s partner, Jack Leidner, brings more than 25 years of business experience to the restaurant, ranging from fast food, retail to national-level program management.
