Center to host political forums

LaGRANGE — The Active Life Recreation Center will host three political forums aimed at older adults on six contested local races.

Each forum will be held in dining room of The Active Life, 140 Ragland St.

Forums are:

• April 5 at 11:25 a.m. for Board of Education districts 5 and 6.

• April 14 at 11:25 a.m. for Troup County commission districts 2 and 3.

• April 19 11:25 a.m. for Troup County sheriff and tax commissioner.

Each candidate will be given about five minutes to speak to a large group and are invited to stay for lunch to answer one-on-one questions from The Active Life participants. The Active Life is a recreation center for people age 55 and older.
