One man remains behind bars in the Troup County Jail after he allegedly threatened to shoot his ex-girlfriend inside her home in the 100 block of Lafayette Court early Friday morning.
The woman’s 4-year-old daughter was also inside the house at the time, according to LaGrange Police.
The victim said her ex-boyfriend, identified as Tritez Pollard, 24, of Grantville, kicked in her back door about 1:45 a.m. and entered the house without her permission.
Pollard then pointed a gun at her and threatened to shoot her, she told investigators. She grabbed her daughter and ran out of the home to call police.
Pollard was taken into custody after LaGrange Police Department officers gave him verbal commands to exit the residence, according to police. Officers also found a gun inside the house.
Pollard is currently at the Troup County Jail and is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm and cruelty to a child in the third degree.
Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
Reckless conduct
LaGrange Police are investigating a stabbing between two young cousins.
Officers met a mother at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center on Thursday about 3:20 p.m. where her daughter was being treated for a stab wound to the leg.
The daughter told police she was playing outside with several other children when her cousin suddenly went inside the home, came back with a pair of scissors and “stuck the scissors in her leg.”
When asked by officers if the cousin was playing around or being mean to her, the victim said, “he was being mean.”
The case was handed over to Detectives with LPD’s Criminal Investigation Section.
