LaGRANGE — Sara Ann Bryant, a graduate of LaGrange High School, has been named to the 2016-17 Leaders Inspired for Tomorrow class at LaGrange College.

Now in its fourth year, LIFT is composed of 10 incoming first-year undergraduates who have shown strong leadership and service-oriented skills.

The yearlong leadership development program begins in August with a four-day, intensive backpacking and rock climbing experience in the mountains of North Carolina. The students are guided by Outward Bound, the most respected outdoor educator in the world.

Upon their return to the college, the class is introduced to campus leaders through a distinguished speaker series. They also participate in service projects on campus and in the community throughout the year.

Bryant has been active in sports and leadership development training opportunities. This summer, she is volunteering with a church in Maine as part of their student ministries. She is the daughter of Carol and Bret Bryant.

Inclusion in the LIFT program is the highest non-academic honor offered to incoming freshmen.
