LaGRANGE — Two men are behind bars in a Cobb County jail for their roles in the shooting death of a LaGrange man inside a home in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue.

Jarvis D. Duncan, 35 and Michael Lee Fair, 37, both of Marietta, were taken into custody on Monday by investigators with the LaGrange Police Department, the Marietta Police Department and the Cobb County Police Department, said law enforcement officials.

Both men are accused of taking part in the murder of Darius Tucker, 32, early Saturday morning, said LPD investigators.

Tucker was shot multiple times inside his home and later died at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

His mother, Adrian Sanders, 49, was also shot multiple times and was flown to a Columbus hospital, investigators said.

She was treated and released earlier this week, according to LPD officials.

Duncan and Fair are also accused of being a part of a group that committed a home invasion, kidnapping and armed robbery just before midnight on Friday, investigators stated.

Masked gunmen allegedly burst into a couple’s home in the 100 block of Saynor Circle, robbed them and then stole both their cars, said officials.

Investigators said the gunmen are responsible for both incidents.

Duncan and Fair are facing charges of murder, two counts of aggravated assault, home invasion and kidnapping.

LPD officials also issued arrest warrants on Monday for Gerald Jerome Florence, 34, of Powder Springs and Lewis Antonio Shells, 35, of LaGrange.

The two men are believed to have roles in one or both incidents.

Florence and Shells were still on the run as of press time Tuesday evening.

Investigators said a fifth suspect is also involved in the crimes, but officials have not identified him yet.

Anyone with information on either case or knows the whereabouts of Florence and Shells is asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000. Callers can remain anonymous.
