Troup County prosecutor leaves for new job

Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney Pete Skandalakis, left, congratulates Assistant District Attorney Jep Bendinger on his final day with his office. Bendinger, who served as a prosecutor in Troup County Superior Court for about three years, left the Troup D.A.’s office on Friday to accept a position as a prosecutor with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in Atlanta. During his time at the Troup D.A.’s office, Bendinger successfully prosecuted and investigated felony crimes, including murders, child abuse and serious drug offenses. Skandalakis called him an ‘invaluable asset’ who would be ‘greatly missed in the office.’
