LaGRANGE — Investigators with LaGrange police are searching for a man who broke into a home in the 100 block of Peachtree Court early Saturday morning while a mother and daughter slept.

According to police, the daughter woke up just before 3 a.m. and saw a man standing in her bedroom.

The daughter told police she started screaming and the male fled from the back door of the home.

She described the suspect as a 5-foot-7 black male with a medium build, wearing a black jacket with a hood on it, black clothing and a black and white bandana over his face.

The mother and daughter told officers they believe this was not the first time someone has been inside their residence. They said earlier in the week and a month ago, they returned home and found the rear door unsecured. It is the same door the suspect left from on Saturday.

The women told police they never filed any reports because nothing was taken.

Detective are still investigating the Saturday incident.
