LaGRANGE — Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department released still images Wednesday afternoon of two suspects they said committed three armed robberies in the area.

According to Lt. Dale Strickland, head of LPD’s Criminal Investigation Section, detectives believe the man who robbed the Wing-N-Burger Factory at 900 Hogansville Road just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday is the same man who robbed at gunpoint the Marathon gas station at 1740 Lafayette Parkway about 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Strickland said the man is also being investigated by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office for a similar armed robbery at a Quicktrip gas station on Bullsboro Road in Newnan early Sunday morning.

In each incident, the man was described as a tall black male wearing a ball cap, glasses and sweatshirt, Strickland stated.

The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash at the restaurant and gas station after pulling out a handgun on the employees.

Police officials also released a photo of a man who reportedly robbed a clerk at the Summit gas station at 208 Vernon St. about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

A store employee told LPD officers an unknown black male approached her outside the store and forced her inside.

The employee stated the male forced her to open the cash register and he took an undetermined amount of cash, then fled on foot.

According to Strickland, that male was described as being about 5-foot-8 and wore a red bandana around his face.

Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
