LaGRANGE — One man remains behind bars after being arrested for burglaries that crossed state lines.
Marco Lloyd was taken into custody on Thursday at his home in the 200 block of Boulevard after investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama.
CCSO investigators said they had located a stolen iPad in LaGrange.
Investigators with their office and the LaGrange Police Department executed a search warrant on Lloyd’s home and found the stolen device, according to TCSO officials, which was taken in a burglary in Chambers Count.
During the search, several TVs and many other items were also discovered in Lloyd’s home, which investigators believed were stolen as well, stated TCSO officials.
Investigators believe the recovered property is from burglaries that occurred over a period of time in Troup and surrounding counties.
Sheriff James Woodruff thanked the LaGrange Police Department and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the case.
“This is just another great example of agencies working together on cases that cross jurisdictional boundaries,” he stated.
Right now, Lloyd is only being charged by LPD with theft by bringing stolen property into this state and theft by receiving stolen property in another state.
TCSO officials said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
