LaGRANGE — Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department continue to look for two gunmen who shot at a man as he sat on the front porch of his home in the 200 block of East Hillside Drive about 1:15 p.m. Monday.

Lt. Dale Strickland said officers initially responded to a phone call by the homeowner, who said she was not in the house when the shooting occurred. It was the third shooting reported in the city Monday.

While investigators at the scene collecting evidence, Strickland said the woman’s son came home. He told detectives he was sitting on the porch when two unknown males drove by in a silver car and started shooting at him.

The man said he ran from the residence and was not hurt in the incident.

The man was also a victim in a Jan. 18 shooting outside a home in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue, Strickland said. The victim is not cooperating with investigators, Strickland added.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
