A juvenile was charged with simple assault under the family violence act after he allegedly threatened to stab his mother’s boyfriend following a scuffle because he refused to go to school Friday morning.
According to a report, the teen’s mother said that when she tried to get him up to go to school, he began cursing and came toward her in a way that she though he was going to hit her, so she pushed him back. The boyfriend said he came to see about the commotion and saw the teen was tearing up his room.
The boyfriend told police that he tried to restrain the teen, but the juvenile got free and grabbed a knife from the kitchen, allegedly saying he would kill the boyfriend if he touched him again. The juvenile allegedly told police that he didn’t threaten to kill the boyfriend, only stab him.
