Theft/Burglary


A woman in the 500 block of Alford Street reported that someone kicked in the side door of her home and stole two gold rings valued at $290, a radio valued at $35 and an HP laptop valued at $600.


A man from Rabbit Automotive in the 400 block of East Bacon Street reported someone stole a customer’s black 2002 Mercury Cougar valued at $5,000.


A man reported a 2006 Honda Rebel motorcycle valued at $2,500 was stolen from the garage of his home, which was vacant because it was up for sale.


A woman from the 400 block of Miller Street reported someone stole a $50 gift card, sent by her brother, from her mailbox.


Battery/Assault


A man reported that when he arrived at his mother’s home in the 600 block of Borton Street, a group of people approached him and attempted to fight him. He was able to get away before they made any physical contact.


Deputies responded to a car accident at Hammett Road and Ga. Highway 54 where the passenger of one car reported the passenger of the other car punched him in the face after the accident.


Criminal Trespassing/Damage


A man reported that someone scratched all four sides, including the hood and trunk, of his 2001 tan Lincoln Town Car while it was parked in the front of his room at the Stay Lodge Motel. The damage is estimated at over $500.


A woman from the 300 block of Ferell Tatum Road reported her ex-husband showed up uninvited to her home and passed out in one of the beds with a bottle of vodka. When deputies tried to tell him to leave the home, he held up the bottle in a manner that suggested he would strike the deputies with it. He was arrested shortly after.
