Artistic Moments Cafe returns for its final show of the Summer on Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The West Point Woman’s Club has invited LaGrange artist, Terri Codlin, to show her unique mixed media artwork. Corbin Hoats will also be returning to provide live music for the family-friendly event.
Terri Codlin paints with a combination of paper, watercolors, inks and other embellishments, creating a new “palette” for each of her works of art.
“My artwork is an expression of my love for color, patterns and texture,” explains Codlin. “Exploring various art mediums has been such a freeing experience. I am thoroughly captivated in the learning process as I improvise, experiment and take risks. The result is a feeling of incredible satisfaction and fulfillment.”
She is a member of the Visual Artists Alliance of LaGrange.
Corbin Hoats will entertain guests with his musical talent, as they enjoy refreshments and Codlin’s artwork. His original music, as well as his covers of favorite classics, are enjoyed throughout Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. More information about his current projects and upcoming performances can be found on the Corbin Hoats Live Music Facebook Page.
The West Point Woman’s Club continues to provide artistic and cultural opportunities for West Point residents and looks forward to the return of the Artistic Moments Cafe for special events this Fall. Upcoming events and schedules can be found by visiting www.artisticmoments.org.
