Moonlight Ballroom Dance club will begin new class for intermediate and beginning dancers, kicking off next month.
“We’re back and ready for a great fall season of Ballroom Dance,” said instructor Tony Peregoy. “Becky (Ashoff, fellow instructor) and I took the summer off from teaching to become students of dance to hone our abilities. We’re looking forward to teaching ballroom dance this fall.”
Peregoy said the two have had requests for intermediate dance lessons and a “huge response” to beginner dance lessons. In response, they’ve mixed the two classes.
“This fall, we will teach beginner to intermediate-level foxtrot, waltz, swing and cha-cha,” Peregoy said. “If you are new to ballroom, this is for you. If you have taken lessons before, this is perfect for more styling, technique and dance patterns.”
Lessons start Sept. 11 for nine Thursdays at 7 p.m. at The Active Life center, 140 Ragland St. Classes are an hour and a half.
“We hope to see you there, but interest is huge so please let us know right away as this class will fill up,” Peregoy said for interested applicants.
Peregoy may be reached at 334-476-0086 for more information and to register. Participants must register prior to the lessons beginning. Cost is $80 per couple.
