PINE MOUNTAIN — On the 13th anniversary of the tragedies of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Callaway Gardens is offering the public the opportunity to visit the gardens on Sept. 11 at no cost.

“Created to be a place to provide ‘nourishment for the soul, consolation for the heart and inspiration for the mind,’ the natural surroundings of Callaway Gardens provide a wonderful place to reconnect with each other and focus on what is important in life,” said Rachel M. Crumbley, director of marketing and public relations for Callaway Gardens. “Providing such experiences and opportunities fulfills the mission of the non-profit Callaway Gardens: ‘Connecting Man and Nature in a way that benefits both.’”

The gardens will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 and more information on the gardens is available at www.callawaygardens.com or by calling 1-800-463-6990.
