Two people were sitting inside the vehicle when the gunshots went off, said Sgt. William Nelson. One person jumped out of the car, ran inside a home and called 911.
At least one bullet hit the vehicle, but no one was hurt.
Investigators found some shell casings at the scene and a set of sandals in the middle of the sidewalk. Nelson said they were unsure if the shoes were connected to the case.
