LaGrange police are searching for two suspects that allegedly robbed a man while he was walking into the nightclub Commotions on New Franklin Road about 1 a.m. Friday.

The victim told detectives two unknown black males approached him, pointed their weapons at him and demanded he give them all his money.

The man stated he handed over an undisclosed amount of currency to the suspects, who then fled the scene in an older model tan or brown Jeep Cherokee.

LaGrange police officers patrolled the area looking for the vehicle but were unable to find one matching that description, according to the report.

Detectives said the suspects are still at large.

They ask anyone with information to contact the LaGrange Police Criminal Investigation Department at 706-883-2620 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000. People can also leave tips on the LPD facebook page at Facebook.com/lagrangepolicedept or text them anonymously to 888-777.

Shots fired in neighborhood

A man flagged down a LaGrange police officer on Wilkes Street just after 9 p.m. Thursday and told him someone just fired a gun out of a passing car.

The witness said he and two friends were on Harwell Avenue near the intersection of Wilkes Street when a white Cadillac drove past them and stopped at the sign. According to the man, that is when someone from inside the vehicle fired at least three shots from the car before speeding off.

The victim said he and his friends dove behind a car. No one was hurt.

The officer went back to the location and found three shell casings from a .45-caliber automatic firearm.

Police are investigating.
