LaGrange police investigators are looking into an incident where a man allegedly cut another man early Friday morning at a home off Parkstone Drive.

Investigators said one man sliced the other with an unknown object during a dispute.

Detectives were interviewing a persons of interest in the case this morning.

Driver discovered napping in car with beer

One man was allegedly caught napping, along with an open container of beer, inside his 1997 Chevy Tahoe in a parking spot of Shuford Fields of Calumet Center Road about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

LaGrange police officers noticed the SUV because the vehicle was still running and had its lights on.

Officers stated when they approached the car, they noticed the driver asleep inside. They also spotted a 12-ounce Bud Light can resting on the steering wheel, plus five more empty cans in the passenger seat.

Police officers woke up the driver and asked him to take a portable breath test, which officers said he consented to.

According to the police report, the driver registered a .056 blood alcohol content, under the limit of .08.

Police noted the beer can on the steering wheel was still cold and half full.

Officers cited the man for having an open container in a public place.
