Two separate shootings occurred in LaGrange over the weekend, leaving two victims injured with non-life threatening wounds.
The first shooting occurred Friday in the 200 block of Heritage Way around 10 p.m. LaGrange police officers responded to an armed robbery in which a man was exiting his vehicle and approached by an unknown assailant.
The robber, wearing a white T-shirt over his head, pointed a gun at the victim and ordered him to remove his pants. After the man did so, the robber fired two shots, one of which struck the man in the leg.
After taking the man’s pants, along with an undisclosed amount of cash inside them, the robber fled on foot.
The second incident occurred Sunday evening shortly before midnight in the 100 block of White Oak Drive. When police arrived, they found a Dixie Street man who’d been shot in the arm.
Police provided emergency first aid until an ambulance could arrive, and the victim was transported to Columbus for medical treatment.
The police report indicates the man was sitting in a vehicle with friends when an unknown man approached them and began shooting.
