Two LaGrange men face attempted murder charges after a shooting in Valley, Ala.
Shortly after noon on Sunday, Valley police responded to a call in the 200 block of Johnson Street in Valley regarding a person who was injured from gunshots.
Witnesses told dispatchers that the shooting suspects were in a black Dodge truck with tinted windows and a Georgia tag and while police were responding to the scene, they spotted a a truck fitting the description traveling north on 20th Avenue near 42nd Street, according to a news release.
The vehicle was pulled over a short distance later and its three occupants were detained.
Back at the shooting scene, Gartavis Roshade Jackson, 25, of Valley, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds in his arms and neck was transported to Lanier Hospital, where he was then transported by helicopter to a trauma center for treatment, said the news release.
Police seized a .40 caliber spent shell casing and .40 caliber live rounds from the truck and recovered of a .40 caliber semi-auto pistol off the road on the east side of 20th Avenue near 40th Street. Shell casings were also recovered at the shooting scene.
Two of the three occupants of the truck Isaiah Jamal Wright, 22, and Darian Jerrell Davis, 21, both of LaGrange are charged with attempted murder.
Police believe the shooting may have stemmed from a previous fight between females alleged to be acquaintances of the victim and suspects.
