Merry Market fundraiser seeking vendors
United Way of West Georgia’s fourth annual Merry Market is now accepting applications from vendors interested in participating in the “shopping extravaganza” to be held Oct. 23 to 25 at Callaway Conference Center on the campus of West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange. Troup Cares seeking volunteers
Troup Cares, a free medical clinic for the working uninsured in Troup County, is seeking volunteers for various office positions, as well as medical doctors, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, RNs, LPNs, CNAs and medical assistants. Center seeking donations for clothes, money
The Yolanda Jabaley Clothing Center is in need of children’s clothes and clothes for teenagers. Money donated to the center is used to buy new underwear and shoes. Hours of the center are 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March through May. To donate items when the center isn’t open, call director Rose Meister at 706-302-0179 or Bergeron at 706-885-9388. United Way seeking weekly readers

Care baskets for breast cancer patients
The Troup County breast cancer support group, Breast Friends for Life, is in need of new or gently used baskets. BFFL makes gift baskets for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. Baskets need to have a handle. No Christmas or Easter baskets. Baskets may be dropped off with Wanda Lowe at Enoch Callaway Cancer Center, 111 Medical Drive next to West Georgia Health.
