Turner, King wed
Taran Jill Turner and Matthew Tayler King were married June 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Longview Farm on Upper Glass Bridge Road. Tony Dean, a retired minister, performed the ceremony.
A reception followed at Longview Farm.
The bride is the daughter of Bobby F. Turner and Sheila B. Turner of Clarkesville. She was given away by her father after a long hesitation.
Her maid of honor was Morgan Carr of Cordele. Bridesmaids were Krysten Jorgensen of Los Angeles; Kelly Vincent of San Francisco, Calif.; Taylor Forth and Sarah Hunnicutt of Athens; Christy Wynne of LaGrange; and Amy Wayson of Atlanta.
The groom is the son of Liz Wiley and the late Bud Wiley of Watkinsville, and Steven King of Abbeville, S.C.
Kyle King of Athens was the groom’s best man. Groomsmen were Clayton Hunnicutt, Aleem Virji, Halton Tarpin and Travis Norman of Athens; Gavin Williams of Braselton; and Sam Sliger of Gainesville.
Alex and Chloe Daniel of Jacksonville, Fla., were flower girls. Lola Grace, the bride’s chocolate lab, was the ring bearer. Sydney Adams of Ellijay was the reader. Mia Daniel of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kamryn Smith of Franklin were programs attendants. Merrill Cote of LaGrange was bell ringer.
The couple vacationed Ladera Resort in Saint Lucia. They will reside in Chamblee.
