On Dec. 12 through 14, New Horizon Community Theatre’s cast will perform the heartwarming Christmas comedy “Closed for the Holidays” by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus.

After a blizzard shuts down the roads on Christmas Eve, a motley crew of travelers find themselves stranded at the local community center. From the lovelorn drama teacher with a bus full of students, to the quarrelsome couple on the way to their wedding, to the overeager sheriff ready for some real criminal action, everyone has their own troubles to untangle. But to have a happy holiday, they’re going to need a miracle — or seven, to be exact. “Closed for the Holidays” is a spirited and heartwarming comedy with a healthy dash of Christmas magic, and is suitable for all ages.

Performances will take place on Dec. 12-14 at 8 p.m. and on Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.

New Horizon Theatre is located at 411 W 8th Street in downtown West Point, Georgia. Individual reserved seat tickets are $16 for adults and $13 for students, seniors and military. Group rates and season ticket packages are available. The house opens one half hour before performances. The George Nader Bell Museum opens one hour prior to curtain and offers an opportunity to view over 1,000 bells collected by Nader from all parts of the world. Admission to the museum is free. Concessions are available at each show. Tickets may be purchased online at Nhct.org.
