Akoye’ DeAjveun Winston
CARROLLTON — Akoye’ DeAjveun Winston, 14, of Carrollton passed away Monday at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Roopville; with Rev. Fredrick Ricks Sr. officiating. He will lie in state from 1:00 until the funeral hour. There will be a public viewing on Friday, from 2-5 in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
Akoye’, son of LaSonya Rena’ Heard was born March 29, 1999, in LaGrange, Georgia.
Akoye’ accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Roopville. He attended Carrollton Jr. High School.
Survivors include his mother, LaSonya Rena’ Heard, Carrollton, GA; two brothers: Quintero McDaniel Jr., LaGrange, GA; Cameron Holt, Auburn, AL; five sisters, Kelsye Holt, Temple, GA, Candra Winston, Chelsea Winston, Cayla Winston, Christian Winston, West Point, GA; grandfather, Calvin Jenkins, Chicago, IL; great-grandmother, Lula Mae Heard, LaGrange, GA; three aunts, Diedre Heard, LaGrange, GA; Tammy Parks, Vanessa Cammons, Carrollton, GA; eight uncles, Kevin Heard, Statesboro, GA; Kerry Winston, West Point, GA, Ervin Jenkins, North Carolina; Kelvin Jenkins, Atlanta, GA; Calvin J. Jenkins, Calvin R. Jenkins, Calvin L. Jenkins, and Calvin B. Jenkins, Chicago, IL; and a host of great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special School Dad, Jamie Henderson, Atlanta, GA; an array of cousins, teachers, classmates, and friends.
