The story “Morning gunfire wounds men” in Tuesday’s (March 1, 2016) edition contained an error.

The alleged shooter in an incident at a home in the 300 block of Whitesville Street on Monday was incorrectly identified. It should have said Lamond Anderson, 23, of Greenville, was taken into custody after allegedly shooting another man. Cornelius Potts has not been charged with any crime.

Anderson was later released without being charged after police interviews indicated he acted in self-defense. The investigation is ongoing.

The Daily News regrets this error in fact.
