Troup County Sheriff’s investigators said this morning that they are seeking one man and have arrested another wanted for child molestation.
John Tommy Bonner Jr., 52, was taken into custody Thursday. He is suspected of molesting two children under the age of 12 in the southwest part of the county, investigators said.
Bonner is being charged with four counts of child molestation, one count of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sexual battery. Investigators said the alleged abuse has been going on for six years.
Bonner was being held in the Troup County Jail this morning with no bond. He was set to make his first appearance in the Troup County Magistrate Court this morning for a bond hearing.
In another case, Troup County investigators are searching for a man who also is accused of child molestation.
Investigators are hoping the public can help them find Francisco Corella-Lopez, 41, who is wanted for two counts of child molestation for allegedly abusing a teenage victim over a period of three to four months.
Investigators believe Lopez is in the area and moving from local motel to motel.
A description of Lopez was unavailable this morning.
Anyone with information on Lopez or his location was asked to call the Troup County Sheriff’s Office at 706-883-1616.
