More cool nights are in the forecast this week for Troup County.

The mercury is expected to dip to the mid-60s tonight and Wednesday night, then reach the upper 60s to lower 70s Thursday through Sunday.

Daytime highs should be in the lower 90s through the weekend. Skies will be clear before giving way to clouds and a chance of rain Saturday and Sunday.

The seasonable weather comes after the mercury hit 98 Saturday at LaGrange-Callaway Airport, equaling the mark set in 2007.

Normal extremes for this time of year are 88 and 66.
