Robbie Frances Armstrong
Mrs. Robbie Frances Armstrong, 90, of Pine Mountain, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at Lynn Haven Health and Rehabilitation Home in Gray, Georgia.
Mrs. Armstrong was born May 20, 1923 in Pine Mountain, the daughter of the late George F. Perdue and Annie Lizzie Hart Perdue. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain, and a graduate of Chipley High School. She had retired from International Playtex.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen A. and Don Phillips of Macon, a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry E. and Lydia Armstrong of Pine Mountain, three grandsons, Zack Phillips, Chris Armstrong and Jason (Karen) Armstrong, a great granddaughter, Lily Claire Armstrong, and a brother, Ruben Perdue, of LaGrange. . She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Armstrong, sisters, Annie Lou Thompson, Eunice Murphy, Elsie Armstrong and Lois Whatley, and brothers, Ulver Perdue and Autry F. Perdue.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 Monday, September 23, 2013 at Pine Mountain Cemetery with Rev. Joel Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home, Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or the family request contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Armstrong, to the First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain, Flat Shoals Salem Road Baptist Church, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
