Deputies were called to the 7100 block of Whitesville Road in West Point in reference to a burglary. Thieves stole a 60-inch flat screen TV, Charter digital cable box, seven different types of firearms, an Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, 30 assorted video games valued at $50 each, a kitchen knife set and a large jug of change of $700. The total value of stolen items was undetermined.
Police responded to Ben Automotive on Fair Street where a customer’s gray 2005 Dodge Neon valued at $1,000 was stolen from the parking lot.
A woman returned home to the 600 block of Borton Street where it appeared someone had attempted to burglarize her home and steal her 53-inch television from her wall unit. However, nothing was stolen.
A man from the 800 block of Borton Street reported that some of of his oxycodone/acetaminophen prescription pills were stolen from his room.
A woman from the 800 block of Forrest Avenue reported that six of her 11 phentermine pills were missing from her pill bottle on top of her refrigerator.
Police responded to Gardens Apartments office on Patillo Road where the manager reported that payments were missing from the drop box located near the mailboxes.
A woman from the 100 block of Baldwin Street reported that a woman slashed her front passenger tire after a verbal dispute.
Toni Thompson, 47, of LaGrange was arrested at Walmart on New Franklin Road after allegedly stealing a pair of binoculars, a range finder, candy and batteries with a total value of $183. She was charged with theft by shoplifting, driving without a license and resisting.
