The day was a washout.
The Callaway High softball team was set to host one of the state’s top teams on Wednesday, but the game against Heard County was postponed because of rain and lightning.
LaGrange High also had its region game at Columbus High postponed due to weather.
Both games will be made up on Monday.
Callaway will host Heard County, with a junior-varsity game at 4:30 p.m., and the varsity game to follow.
LaGrange will return to Columbus on Monday for a 4:30 p.m. game between the two Region 1-AAAAA opponents.
LaGrange (5-3 overall) is 2-1 in the region.
Callaway and LaGrange both have games before Monday.
Callaway (7-5 overall) will put its 1-1 Region 5-AAA record on the line when it hosts Haralson County today at 5:30 p.m.
Callaway beat Pepperell 9-8 in its region opener before falling to Cedartown 8-0.
Haralson County (5-4 overall) is also 1-1 in the region.
On Saturday, Callaway will get a chance to play its two county rivals at LaGrange High.
Callaway plays Troup at 9 a.m., and LaGrange at 10:45 a.m.
LaGrange, meanwhile, will play Troup at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday after playing Callaway.
