Debt can be your enemy!

Too many people buy a car, watch or a big boat they cannot afford to impress someone else that is spending money they do not have. People need to buy Dave Ramsey’s book, read it and stay within their budget.

Do not feed your ego and spend money you do not have. If you make $30,000 per year you do not need to go on a $6,000 cruise and buy a $5,000 watch.

Start saving your money. Even though it may be $80 per month, it will add up over time.

Start yourself a rainy day account. I promise, rain will come in your life, your job is to be prepared.

What has that got to do with selling real estate? Above everything you must have the ability to manage your money.

It is simple, scheduled disasters are a result of failure to plan for predictable expenses that haven’t come due yet. If you do not maintain your car regularly, it will not take just a few dollars, but instead many dollars to fix it.

I have seen people that could have spent a few dollars on maintenance, but spent thousands on repairs. What type of person are you? Do you set aside money for those bills that just happen or do you just max out your credit card?

Never use a credit card to buy anything that is not in your budget for the month. This means you must have a budget.

When you see you cannot pay your card off without a long-term plan, put your card in a pan of water then put it in the freezer because you have lost control of your spending.

Get a plan and stick to it. Use your credit only when you must use it, pay cash as you go, you will be happier and wiser. I promise.

Today I was stopped by a lady who said, “Your articles about diabetes gave people hope that they could do something about their problem.”

Yes, I had one doctor that said he let two patients go because they would do nothing to help themselves and he knows they will lose their feet and legs if they do not change.

Folks, I am selling one of the greatest cures of all time – HOPE! I have a friend that bought the book about beating diabetes last November and has now lost 67 pounds. He says he has not felt this good nor had this much energy in years.

I am selling HOPE that you can make your body a little bit better by eating better and walking every day. I DARE YOU TO TRY IT FOR 21 DAYS. Then you will have a new habit – being healthy.
